Conductive Carbon Tape, 8mm x 20m

Detailed Description
Carbon Tape is highly conductive and is very convenient to
use for SEM and EDS applications. The tape is a double-sided adhesive.
The conductivity of the tape permits easy and fast mounting of
your sample with the use of liquid adhesives or conductors.
Carbon tapes currently on the market have a high resistance
value, often thousands of ohms, because that is what is required
when manufacturers are constructing ESD devices (the largest market
for carbon tape). The new "CARBON TAPE #8" has
a very low resistance value (<2 ohms) and is better suited
to areas such as SEM or anywhere higher conductivity is important.
Other advantages include:
- Thinner
- Embedded carbon fibers add strength and conductivity in all
(XYZ) directions
- Less out gassing
- Tackier surface for better adhesion
- Lower contaminants under EDS, <0.1% Ni
- Better stability under an electron beam
It should be noted that the product is gray/black in appearance,
which is different to many users who have always seen an all black
tape. When viewed in an SEM the texture is different and if viewed
in an optical microscope the carbon fibers are visible through
the clear conductive adhesive. For most uses, this product offers
a better choice due to the higher conductivity over the previous
product.
